  This is the first care company I have had the pleasure of hiring to help care for my 96 year old father. The staff is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I feel they have a true interest in my father's well-being. Teri came to our house and explained how the care works, had helped us complete the necessary paperwork, listened to our needs and evaluated my dad to set him up with the proper care giver. As she was leaving I was very 'emotional' that 'I' was getting help caring for my dad, we talked and she showed the utmost compassion. She saw my ‘tearing’ emotion and we hugged like we had known each other forever. The same day nurse Katherine came to evaluate my dad's physical, mental and emotional status. She had the same compassion as Teri did, treating us like family, listening to our every word and compiling information to set my dad up with the proper care. Dad was not ready to accept that he needed assistance but Teri and Katherine made him feel at ease and let him know there was no pressure and that we could take this on a day-to-day basis. The care givers were wonderful also. The first few times they were coming my dad was hesitant at first because he did not want to admit he could not care for himself as he once had but after they left he raved about how attentive and compassionate they were. In addition, Carrie from the office was so helpful and compassionate while working with me to set-up care times for my dad. I highly recommend BrightStar in Piscataway NJ. As a caregiver you will feel relief that you are getting the proper help with the care of your loved one and as the person receiving the care, you will appreciate their services. BrightStar thank you for being there for 'both of us'.
